Over the past five years, we have provided consulting support to a variety of employers to bring them into compliance with the Employment Equity Federal Contractors Program or as federal departments or federally regulated employers. We typically assist the organization to conduct a workforce survey, conduct an analysis of the workforce data (workforce analysis) and an Employment Systems Review (ESR), develop an Employment Equity Plan with numerical goals and timetables and prepare all government documentation for submission to the EE auditors. Clients include public and private sector employers, large and small organizations with unionized and non-unionized employees. All of our clients have successfully passed the federal audit requirements.
Our clients include the University of Western Ontario (UWO), Johnson Controls, ThyssenKrupp, Canadian Environmental Assessment Agency, Mercedes Benz, Subaru Canada, GE Canada Nuclear Products, Manitoba Telecom Services. We have participated on teams that conducted similar projects for Gowlings (law firm), Corus Entertainment Inc. We subsequently prepared a presentation on strategies for managing a diverse workforce, as part of a training program for DND supervisors and managers.
For the Department of Foreign Affairs & International Trade, we conducted an ESR which included an examination of the advantages to the organization of using the diversity of its employees to gain insights into the issues the department deals with around the world.
